barn kitty and horse

I love how mellow the horse is even though there's a fuzzy beastie rolling around on his back.

p.s. the song in the clip makes me happy and I don't even speak swedish!

wide-angle chinatown

from the first roll of film shot with my "new" (used) 21mm lens. I never thought I'd like shooting wide-angle but I love it.

Chrysler

Chrysler

Minolta X-700 + 70-300mm zoom lens + Fuji Velvia 35mm film

I sold that lens recently on ebay because it was a pain to use but now I sorta regret it.

Tim Walker

I love this Tim Walker photo. Lucky Londoners can see an exhibit
of his work at the Design Museum.

my first polaroid emulsion lift

happy accident

I've always wanted to try emulsion lifts and they're usually not done with integral film but  the ATZ film seems to "lift" nicely.  I didn't set out to do a lift, I was just trying to manipulate the film and went a bit overboard ;)

The size of the cages make me sad but the bird's owners really seem to love them.

Flickr is almost certainly the best photo management and sharing application in the world. If you'd like to see what I use it for you can check out my profile page or browse my photostream.

flowerbox building

I usually hate new construction but I am so in love with the flowerbox building.

Too bad all 8 units have already been sold - the penthouse went for TEN MILLION DOLLARS! That's just further proof that NYC real estate is insane, the building is on 7th street between avenues C and D!! (if you know NYC you'll understand the exclamation points!)

(photos taken with my teeny digicam while out for an early evening walk around the neighborhood)
